
Jennifer Grey (born March 26 1959) is an American actress. Her first acting role was in Reckless (1984), but she made her biggest break in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). She gained international fame by playing Frances Houseman in the romantic drama film Dirty Dancing (1987), which was a winner of an Golden Globe Award nomination. Red Dawn (1984), The Cotton Club (1889), Bloodhounds of Broadway (1989), Redbelt (2008) and Redbelt (2000) were some of her other feature films. Grey's work on television started with Murder in Mississippi (1990), Criminal Justice (1989) and If the Shoe Fits (2019). She also starred as Kelly Carter in the comedy Red Oaks on Amazon Prime Video. Grey has also worked as a voice actor in films and television, appearing in the 2018 film Duck Duck Goose and the animated television series Phineas and Ferb in 2008.
