Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor as well as a director producer and singer. She's a beautiful, intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular characters in television shows. The most notable was the Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. Her new-found fame was translated into roles on the big screen with Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. In this period she also acted as the lead in several flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started to voice prominent characters in animated films such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to produce results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that had Liu playing recurring parts, helped to establish her status as a performer. Liu has a lot of care when picking her roles so that she doesn't get typecast. While she embraces her roots but it doesn't mean she has to be in her professional work being an artist.
